Teamwork is the ultimate competitive advantage in a world where we are increasingly working with colleagues and team members remotely, virtually and across the globe meaning that we have to work as a collective rather than a group of individuals. The research by experts such as Lencioni and Tuckman show a number of factors that dramatically improve the probability of a team performing well. 

In this workshop we explore these factors so that you, as a manager and leader, can fast-track your teams to be the best they can, whether working remotely or physically together .  

COURSE OUTCOMES

By the end of the programme, participants will:

  • Understand the factors that contribute to productive and high performing teams
  • Explore where your team sits, currently, and what to do to help it progress 
  • Be clear on what you, as a manager and leader, can do to develop your team and your individual team members
  • Recognise the stages that teams go through when they come together and what you can do to ‘fast track’ that and overcome challenges  
  • Identify team ‘de-railers’ that will negatively impact your team and have a range of action ready strategies to address them

  • How teams form and develop – the stages they go through (research by Tuckman)
  • Building high performing teams  – what you can do as a manager and leader 
  • What Lencioni’s research shows us about teams, what the 5  ‘dysfunctions’ of a team are and how you can use the research to help your teams perform at their best
  • Strategies on how to make teams work productively and effectively even when remote and virtual 
  • What to do if you face challenges and issues within your teams 
  • How to communicate with your teams – virtually and face to face
